New Computerized Transit System (NCTS)
Guarantee
When filling out a transit declaration in the New Computerized Transit System (NCTS), it is mandatory to submit a guarantee issued by a resident of Georgia or a guarantee issued in a CTC member country.
The mandatory guarantee amount is determined based on the import duties that would be payable on the day of the declaration’s registration. This calculation is made considering the highest applicable rate(s) of the relevant commodity subheading in the national commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity, in case the goods were released for free circulation.
Steel International Trading Company LLC, as an authorized holder, ensures the guarantee amount for each shipment.
The registration and accounting of guarantee-related information are carried out using the NCTS system.
